Der Zweck und die Botschaften der Heiligen Schriften

Die Heilige Schrift gilt als Gottes Offenbarung an die Menschen. Sie hat Antwort auf jedes Problem in dieser Welt, sowohl für jeden einzelne als auch eine Ganze Nationen.

Obwohl die 66 Bücher der Bibel von über 40 verschiedenen Autoren innerhalb von ungefähr 1800 Jahren geschrieben wurde, zeugt die Bibel von einer kraftvollen Einheit und Harmonie. Die Bibel trifft auf die Nöte von so vielen Nationalitäten und Stämmen, die sich in Sprache, Bräuche und Hintergrund unterscheiden.

Die Heilige Schrift auch die Bibel genannt, ist das einzige Buch, wo Gott sich offenbar. Deswegen ist keine Ausbildung vollständig, wenn sie nicht auf biblischen Grundlagen gegründet ist. So ist es nicht möglich ein christliches Leben zu einem vollen Maße zu führen, ohne ein angemessenes Verständnis der Bibel.

Tatsächlich kann kein christlicher Mitarbeiter wirklich zum Dienst in der Gemeinde qualifiziert werden, ohne ein gründliches Bibelstudium und kein christlicher Mitarbeiter kann völlig effektiv sein, ohne ein festes Wissen der Bibel. Jeder Gläubige und Mitarbeiter sollte ein spezialist der Bibel sein.

1. Vorrangstellung der Heiligen Schrift

Denn die Heiligen Schrift ist von Gott gegeben: Gal.11,12; Joh.14.26; 2Petr.3.15-16;2Tim.3.15-17. Wörter wie "so spricht der Herr" oder "des Herrn Wort geschah zu mir" wurden mehr als 3808 mal in der Bibel gefunden. Jesus hat mehrfach die göttliche Autorität der Bibel bezeugt (Mat.8.17;12.40-42;Lk.4.18-21)

sowohl Jesus (mehr als 78 mal) als auch die Apostel (mehr als 203 mal) haben auf das alte Testament hingewiesen. Das alte Testament sagte die Ereignisse im neuen Testament voraus und das neue Testament gab Zeugnis zur Echtheit des alten Testaments. Jedoch wurde die ganze Bibel erst im Jahre 1236 in verschiedene Kapitel aufgeteilt.

2. Der Zweck der Heiligen Schrift

* Das Wort Gottes offenbart Gottes Gerechtigkeit, Heiligkeit, Gnade, Mitleid, Liebe, Kraft, Souveränität, Weisheit, Güte, Treue usw. Der aller wichtigste Zweck der Bibel ist es Gott den Menschen zu offenbaren: 1Mos.1.1;Hiob.11.7;37.23-24; Pred.3.11;8.17;Jes.40.28;Rom.11.34;Ikor.2.9-16;Eph.4.18;Apg.17.23

* Gottes Offenbarung geschah durch die Gesetzgebung Dt.4.7-8
- durch die Prophetien. 2Mos.4.12-15;Jer.1.7-9;Jes.55.7;Hes.33.11
- und durch Christus Kol.2.9;Joh.14.9;Hebr.1.1-3

Außerdem deutet die Bibel darauf hin, dass die Menschen Gott dringend brauchen. Denn der Mensch ist nicht im klaren über seine Bedürfnis: Hiob.8.9;Pred.9.12;11.15;Jes.59.8;Jer.5.4;Joh.1.10;4.10;9.41;Offenb.3.17. Obwohl der Mensch vorgibt solche Bedürfnis wie Geld, Vergnügen und Freiheit zu haben, zeigt die Bibel aber, dass das wahre Bedürfnis der Menschen, die Beziehung zu Gott ist. Die Bibel gilt als der wichtigste Reiseführer des christlichen Lebens. Durch sie wurde der Weg zu Gott offenbar Joh.14.6

3. Die Botschaften der Heiligen Schrift

Das zentrale Thema der Bibel ist Christus und sein Erlösungswerk (Joh.14.26;16.13-14;20.31;Joh.5.39;Lk.24.25-27,44-45;Offenb.1.1. Christus wurde im alten Testament verheißen und im neuen Testament offenbar. Um Gottes Wort jedoch verstehen zu können und fähig zu sein davon zu profitieren, brauchst du Glauben an Jesus sowie die göttliche Beschneidung deines Herzens (5.Mos.30.6;Hes.36.26;Hebr.8.10)

Jeder, der vom Studium von Wort Gottes profitieren möchte, muss darauf festgelegt sein, sich von biblischen Ereignissen beeinflussen zu lassen und nicht an der Wahrhaftigkeit von Geschehnissen in der Bibel zu zweifeln und somit nicht den Heiligen Geist mit Unglaube und Heuchelei zu bekümmern. In allen Predigen und Lehren der Bibel sollte der praktische Aspekte immer betrachtet werden. (2.Tim.3.15-17;Röm.15.4). Alle trügerische Auslegung sollte vermieden werden (2Pet.3.16;Offenb.22.18,19;2.Kor.6.17,18

Der Dienst der Heiligen Schrift

Wofür brauchen wir die Bibel? Gott lässt sein Wort offenbar werden und somit erfüllt die Bibel besondere Dienste wie zum Beispiel:

Gottes Wort wie ein Spiegel und Schwert durchsucht die tiefste Ecke des Menschenherzens. Dabei verurteilt die Bibel jede mögliche Form der Selbstgerechtigkeit, das Selbstbetrugs, und Selbstinteresse der Menschen.

Damit wir von Gottes Wort profitieren können, sollen wir solche Eigenschaften zeigen, wie:

* Bereitschaft in das Studium des Wortes zu investieren und zu opfern: Mat.13.44-46;1Könige 10.1-9;Mat.12.42
* Bedingungsloser Liebe für die Wahrheit : Ps.119.32-167; Jer.6.16; Jud.13
* Liebe zu Gott von ganzem Herzen: Mat.22.37; 5.Mos.30.6;Ps.73.25
* Verlangen, mehr von Gott zu erfahren und zu wissen: Ps.42.1,2;63.1;1Petr.2.2
* Verlangen über Gott zu reden und ihn zu bezeugen: Spr.11.24-26;Röm.9.1-3;Gal.1.11,16
* Bereitschaft, die Bibellehre praktisch anzuwenden: Ps.57.7;108.1;112.7;119.60-63;Jak.1.22-25;Hez.7.10;Joh.7.17
* Hingabe zu Gottes Wort und Wille: Eph.6.18;Röm.12.1,2;13.14;Jud.20-21;Mat.13.3-8;26.41; Mk.4.1-9;14-20;Lk.8.4-8;11-15;1.Kor.3.1-5; Hebr.3.12-15;4.1,2;5.12-14

Allerdings gibt es auch Hindernisse, die jemanden davon abhalten könnten, von dem Studium des Wortes Gottes profitieren zu können. das Hindernisse zum geistlichen Wachstum und zur Aufnahmebereitschaft ist das menschlichen Herz. Dabei spielt der Herzenszustand eine erhebliche Rolle, ob man Gottes Wort verstehen wird und davon profitieren kann. Ein solcher Herzenszustand wie folgender wird es schwer haben, vom Gottes Wort profitieren zu können, z.B.,

THE PRESERVATION OF THE SCRIPTURE:    Matthew 5:17,18

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” What is referred to as “the law or the prophets” in verse 17 is called “the law” in verse 18. When “the law” is used in this way, it is referring to the entire Old Testament.

Compare Matthew 23:23 with Proverbs 21:2,3; Hosea 6:6; 2 Chronicles 20:20; Isaiah 43:10-12; John 10:34,35 with Psalm 82:6; John 12:34 with Psalms 89:36; 110:4; John 15:25 with Psalm 35:19; 1 Corinthians 7:39 with Malachi 2:14-16; 1 Corinthians 14:21 with Isaiah 28:11,12.

These passages of Scripture reveal that the entire Old Testament is referred to as “the law.” Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the inspired Scripture, the Old Testament.”

“The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat” (Matthew 23:2). They misinterpreted God’s Word and still projected themselves as the true teachers and interpreters of God’s Word. Our Lord opposed them and criticised their erroneous teaching. They then accused Him of coming to destroy “the law and the prophets” because He would not support their false religious system. Jesus came to destroy all the false interpretations of the Old Testament but He did not come to destroy the Old Testament, He came to fulfil.

CHRIST’S AUTHORITY AND THE SCRIPTURES:   Matthew 5:18; 7:28,29

Ephesians 1:20-22; Philippians 2:5-11; Acts 3:22,23; Deuteronomy 18:18,19; John 5:21-27; Romans 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10,11; 1 Peter 3:21,22.

Christ taught and preached with absolute and final authority. This authority had been conferred on Him by God, the Father. He taught with the authority of a Judge, with the authority of a King. As a “Teacher come from God,” His authority is far above that of any teacher, prophet or Apostle. Christ’s authority far exceeds the authority of all the true prophets of God, past, present and future. He is God’s final voice (Hebrews 1:1-4). Christ is greater than
(1) the angels Hebrews 1:4;
(2) Moses Hebrews 3:3-6;
(3) the temple and the priests Matthew 12:5-8;
(4) Solomon Matthew 12:42;
(5) Jonah Luke 11:32;
(6) John the Baptist Luke 3:16;
(7) Abraham and the prophets John 8:53-56.

His authority is greater than that of angels and all men that ever lived. Yet in His authority He confirmed the infallibility and permanence of the Scripture. He saw nothing to correct, change, modify or amend. “For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

CHRIST’S AFFIRMATION OF THE SCRIPTURES:    Matthew 5:18

Luke 16:17; 21:33; John 10:34, 35; Luke 18:31-34; 21;22; 10:25-28; 22:37; Matthew 4:1-11.

It is clear to every sincere reader of the gospels that Christ affirmed the Old Testament as inspired by God, infallible, incorruptible, indispensable, imperishable, instructive, irreproachable and irrevocable.

To Christ and to all true believers in Christ the Scripture is the Word of God (Luke 4:4; Mark 7:6-13; Romans 9:6; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Isaiah 40:8). There is no doubt that Jesus believed every jot and every tittle of the Word of God.

When Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you ...” He was impressing on His hearers the absolute trustworthiness of Scripture in every minute detail. In these two verses (Matthew 5:17,18) our Lord, Jesus Christ, affirms and confirms the Old Testament. He puts His seal of authority, His stamp of approval upon the whole of the Old Testament canon.

Jesus believed it all, not only certain parts of it. He declared it as the Word of God having a unique authority which nothing else has ever possessed nor can ever possess.

Those who think they believe in Christ and yet reject the Old Testament are deceived. If we truly believe in Christ as Saviour and Lord we cannot pretend to be wiser than Him. We ought to have the same attitude as He had to the entire Word of God.

CHRIST’S AUTHENTICATION OF THE SCRIPTURES:    Matthew 5:18

Psalm 119:89,152,160; Isaiah 40:8; 1 Peter 1:24,25; Psalm 102:25-27; Isaiah 34:16; Daniel 10:21; Romans 15:4; Acts 17:11,12.

According to Christ, everything in the Old Testament is the Word of God. Not only that, it is all going to stand until it has all been fulfilled. Every jot and every tittle, everything has meaning. And the Lord gave the same authority to the New Testament.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away” (Luke 21:33).

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall TEACH YOU ALL THINGS and BRING ALL THINGS to your remembrance, WHATSOEVER I HAVE SAID UNTO YOU ” (John 14:26).

“Howbeit when He, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, is come, He will GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH ... and He will SHEW YOU THINGS TO COME” (John 16:13).

The Old Testament and the New Testament, the entire Word of God has final authority. The moment you begin to question the authority of the Old Testament or the New Testament, you are of necessity questioning the authority of Christ, our Saviour and Lord. To Him, “the Scripture cannot be broken.” It is God’s own Word that is going to be fulfilled to the minutest detail and which will last while heaven and earth are in existence.

THE BIBLE STANDS

Its pages burn with the truth eternal,
And they glow with a light sublime.

The Bible stands tho’ the hills may tumble,
It will firmly stand when the earth shall crumble;
I will plant my feet on its firm foundation,
For the Bible stands.

2. The Bible stands like a mountain tow’ring
Far above the works of men;
Its truth by none ever was refuted,
And destroy it they never can.

3. The Bible stands and it will for ever,
When the world has passed away;
By inspiration it has been given,
All its precepts I will obey.

4. The Bible stands ev’ry test we give it,
For its Author is divine;
By grace alone I expect to live it,
And to prove it and make it mine.
